An aquaintance of my Dad's wife bought for £400 a Bullmastiff cross St Bernard, from a breeder (I use the term in it's loosest form) who specialised in Bullbreed x giant breed crosses!

Her husband works in personal security and away from home. He wanted a fierce dog to protect his wife, as they live in a rough part of town.

He was most disappointed with the lovely soft nature of this pup to people. I was very releived. Then when the pup was 11 months old, panic stations, dog must go as he had suddenly gone berserk, and she was going to have him PTS.

In the end she passed him on to a friend of the 'Macho' husband ( I did wonder if maybe PTS was not better for poor pup). On closer questioning it turned out that the pup had decided to get amorous with the lady owner and this had frightened her, as she thought it perverse behaviour, and in her words, thought the Devil had gotten into her dog.
