- By welshie [gb] Date 12.02.14 10:44 UTC
is west car park shut for crufts if so what car park s are available? i am last day  and usually we have a long walk to hall
i have an ordinary low trolley piled with 3 cages; grooming table; suit ; and bags/;grooming stuff and food ;AND 3 dogs
Dread to think if its raining. I will have to do several trips with dog on trolley in cage   O H  says i'm mad  (think i must be)

Could you offer a lift to someone in return for them helping you to cart your kit and dogs into the halls and then back again later?

We park on the railway station car park.  Its nearer.

does the station one get full very quickly? I used to use west car park as in hall two but if its wet the it can get a bit muddy as its stoney. I walk my boy in but he'll end up getting dirty, lots of towels in the bag.

As far as I was aware the West Car park had been sold off to the airport.

The west carpark was indeed sold off to the airport in 2012 hence LKA not using it then and also helping to prompt the move of halls in 2013 however it was still in use for Crufts last year and is going to be in use this year as it states in the schedule
"Unaccompanied dog exhibitors and those not wishing to drop off can park in South, East or West car parks. Please note that only a limited number of spaces are available in the West car park and the West car park has only one exit so there may be delays in leaving this car park."

We will be in hall 2 on Friday where is the best place to park? and are there any height restrictions on the car parks we have a motorhome and was planning on arriving the night before to avoid traffic jams.

No height restrictions but I am unsure about being in the carparks overnight as they are closed but maybe someone else will know about that????

Having never tried it myself (yet) - what about the railway station car park? apparently has space for 800 cars, MIGHT have height restrictions though, costs about the same as the Crufts car park but a bit nearer.

There are definitely signs up saying no overnight campers allowed.
