I think my girls must be the laziest dogs ever. They get up about 7.15am with OH and he lets them out into the garden, they are back at the door within seconds and then they come into the house (They sleep in the conservatory off the kitchen). OH makes a cuppa then comes back upstairs to get dressed. I get up about 7.30 and once dressed go down. They are sleeping !! I have 20 mins or so in the office while I drink my tea then by 8am start to put boots on for our walk. This of course excites them and we set of for the first walk of the day. Usually by car a 10 min trip to the country park for a 45 min run. We are home by abut 9.15am then I sit in the office with my second cuppa while I do some work, they sleep ! I feed them approx 3/4 hr after the walk and  then start the usual things...tidy up the kitchen, re-lay the fire, wash up bits and bobs, hoover, dust, etc.. the pup will mooch about in the garden (Doors always open in my house) Vino sleeps !! I may spend some time in the office clean upstairs etc.. By 11am they are both usually snoozing. We go out for our second walk about 1 - 2 pm depending on what I am up to, this is a 30 min road walk. I may groom then when I get back or leave it till the evening. If not doing anything with them such as training or grooming they sleep !! If I am working at 2pm this walk is earlier, (OH then takes them out for the last walk at 6.30 ish) if not working then by 4pm we set off on another road walk for 30 mins or so. We get home and ... they sleep !!
They have tea around 7pm, a last trip out to the garden before I shut the door and then sleep !! I often sit in the lounge at night and groom them but they often sleep while I am doing it !! The pup takes herself off to the conservatory about 8.30pm and Vino sleeps in the lounge. Last trip to the garden at 11.30 pm then I tuck them up for the night. They sleep all night without a peep. I recon they sleep for a good 16 -18 hrs a day. They are happy and healthy and I suppose they do not sleep deeply during the day more like dozing. Rioja will play with me if I entice her with toys but she is not the sort to ask for play. Vino is more likely to ask for cuddles than play. Bernese are  not high energy dogs at all but I am sure my two are the laziest I know !!

Sounds pretty familiar to mine, the two youngest often have a wrestle, the older ones less so.

Other than when walking,eating and the occasional playing with a toy mine does a lot of sleeping lol :-)

Lots and lots of sleeping here too.
Instant wakefulness when they see their leads, new toys, fish sticks or their dinner bowls.
Between 7-9pm we get the 'Wacky races' where most,if not all, join in a flat out, Helter shelter mad dash around an imaginary racetrack.
Youngsters then settle down to a  game of 'bitey face' with loud sound effects......This usually coincides with something on TV I want to listen to!

My 15 year old sleeps when we are sitting etc but the minute we get up he is up on his feet and wanting to 'do' things with us. If we spend all morning in the garden he is there 'helping' or wanting his ball thrown ..... The younger one (who is nearly 12) is more inclined to sleep unless it is an 'official' play time / walk :)

Want to "like" the post by Toolz. That is just hilarious and I know exactly what you mean.

We call that the 'zoomies'! Bitey face time is after their dinner, combined with 'lick the tearstains off Hetty' time. :-p I check in on mine on the webcam while I'm at work and they are nearly all fast asleep, just the youngest is sometimes fidgeting a bit!

Most dogs are so versatile and will usually fit in with routine I find. My breed are happy if I want to go on a 10 mile hike or if we are having a quiet day, they are also happy to settle at my feet for most of the day apart from walks/toilet breaks.

There are key moments during the day where they have "bundle" time and then they will go back to relaxing. My old boy, who I lost fairly recently used to sleep 20 out of 24 hours a day, even when he was a youngster, if you waved a toy or even his lead at him, he would look at you as if to say "off you go then, have fun, don't be long". My pup is not a great sleeper, more of an observer, he will lay with his head on my feet, or his paws if I am busy and just watch the world go by. Got to love dogs!

Ah - our two used to do that on our bed in the morning when we were having our cup of tea - we called it 'snappy crocodiles' :)
