....this time in Leeds, it seems so far as the reports go it was the dogs owner who was attacked.

Oh that's just awful. A life lost and 4 children loosing their mum.
But people will never learn.

The below quote is from this article

"..the pit bull started getting really nasty with her because she is epileptic. Apparently, it wanted to go for her whenever she was having a fit."

All I can think of is her children, 4 innocent children getting all excited for Christmas and now they have to deal with this :( :( :(

"..the pit bull started getting really nasty with her because she is epileptic. Apparently, it wanted to go for her whenever she was having a fit."

This is when the dog should have been removed from the home, if it was known that she could have a fit anytime why would anyone play with their life like that? Why would anyone keep a dog which turned nasty on them, it is beyond me. It is well documented that dogs may attack and kill each other when having fits, some dogs are volatile with high prey drives which can be triggered by anything from high pitched noises, onwards...........

Such a waste of life.........

My condolences to the family.

But, no nothing will be learnt here........ the next tragic story is just around the corner.

Good grief! I had no idea any family member was epilectic, early am TV news quite sparse in detail..

I've not read anything since the early report this morning, so didn't know about the epilepsy situation either.   A friend of mine had epilepsy in her bloodline, and if one went into a seizure, the others would go nuts - even if in separate pens.   So quite possibly this might have happened?   But for sure, they should have been aware.   Too bad it's yet another Bull breed(s)? here.   Pretty soon the gentle Staffie (or should be) will be on the DD list at this rate.

Just dreadful, and of course, the media are there in full cry, again.

The latest report is that the person who died was not the owner & someone has been arrested, the police would give no detailed statement around 6-6:30 am this morning, seems now they have investigated it.

In the article I linked to earlier, it said the woman lived with her boyfriend. I'm guessing the boyfriend is the man that's been arrested.

Lets hope his names' not on the birth cert'e of the 4 orphans so he has no legal rights over them.

One of the neighbours interviewed was quoted as saying he'd only ever met one of the dogs, and of that one, he said he couldn't believe it had attacked ,as the dog had been so friendly.

That's so sad, her poor family.

My partners epileptic and our pitbull gets really upset when she has a fit and cries and cries. The last seizure she had he ran to his bed and hid.
