You were so helpful when I was looking for photo mugs that I thought try you with this one!

I am thinking of getting a digital photo frame as a gift and setting it up with pics. I have never actually seen one myself so am not sure how they work, I've seen several that say they can take a memory card (like a camera) but I'm not sure how I'd get the pictures onto the card, my current camera has a lead from a USB socket for putting pics on the computer so I don't have a card reader. Is it possible to get a frame that I load directly from the computer? Also I've seen several that boast about special features, including remote controls and videos etc but all I want is one that displays pictures, is simple to use and has a good quality display (especially important as I am planning on trying to scan/somehow computerise some actual old family photos) I'd rather have quality than extras, anyone got any advice or recommendations? I'm not looking to spend a fortune but it depends what I'd need to expect to spend to get something decent.

I have a 7 inch kodak, and bought similar for gifts. Same thought process as you, in that i scanned loads of old family photos in. I made sure that whatever ones I bought had a USB functionality, then bought a couple of flash drives and then loaded the photos onto those from my "originals" on my PC. That way the recipients could go onto add their own photos later on (provided they have computer access). T
