I know this is a common thing but since moving to raw feeding, none of my dogs have turned their nose up at their food. We have an 8 week old pup that was LOVING his raw diet then over the past couple of days, is turning his nose up at his feeds! He eats a tiny amount of it but not much. I've had the older girls eat his dinner after he walks away so he knows that if he doesn't eat it, someone will but he doesn't care!
Now I'm at a loss.
I even gave him a taste of Burns kibble last night which he ate a bit of but still not a lot. Do you think he just doesn't like the meat? Or is he testing me?lol

I think he is testing you but I presume you have checked his poos is everything ok ? Has he got a bug which is putting him off his food as he doesnt sound interested in the kibble either.I would def stick to raw though

Is it possible that he has something stuck in his mouth? Between his teeth?
Or is he cutting a tooth - early I know, but it can happen.
Or he may be brewing an infection, have a sore throat etc.

No, he's perfectly well in himself. Drinking normally and playing, running about, biting like a mad thing! It's just the food thing. I'm going to try him on a rib for lunch and see if that perks him up.
Think he is testing me. He's already trained me perfectly to be his slave for life!!lol
Had a total panic this morning about the food thing though as that was him going into day 2 of not eating much after only nibbling brekkie. Looked up good kibbles! He's a pest :)
This rings alarm bells for me as non eating was about the only symptom that my Roxy had of lungworm and giardia as a pup. Otherwise she was a typical puppy. Try tough love but I would be wary if it continues I would look at stool samples or even a preemptive panacur course. Some may think I am overreacting, I may be but watching your puppy growing thinner and thinner every day is horrific.

Roxylola, That sounds awful!!
But panic over! He's eating better now and has had almost his daily ration in 2 feeds! Seems to be a bit fed up of chicken and fancied some tripe!YUK. He also had some ribs too for a little chew after his meals.
Puppies not eating just sends me into a total panic!
Glad to hear he has recovered his appetite. And yes it was awful - my vet told me not to walk her without a coat and not in daylight in case I was reported to the RSPCA!
