Is there anywhere online where I can find out who is licensed in a particular area?

I phoned the council. The woman was confused, tapped on her keyboard for a bit, resorted to Googling for information on animal boarding, and then told me that they don't have a list of people with licenses in my county!?

No I'm not, sorry! I was actually just curious as to how many people who advertise as providing day care/home boarding actually hold a license to do so. I'm a dog walker and don't currently offer those services but may do in the future.
