Has anybody heard that for a dog to have a skin scrape that the vets may have to sedate !!

A skin scrape can be quite sore (getting the right cells can mean the skin bleeds slightly) and sme dogs object quite strongly. If it won't tolerate being muzzled then light sedation might be necessary.
