Have a hedgehog living in the garden for the last year & last evening noticed a large tick on its' face, do I attempt to remove or leave well alone, advice please? Thanks to him/her the garden hasn't been over run with slugs & snails, & so far dogs haven't had a problem with fleas, so hoping to keep the hog in good health but not keen on ticks in the garden?

If it very large it will most likely be ready to drop off on it's own. It is always the big bean size ones I find on the floor if I have missed any as I go over my boys, the small ones grow and drop off when they have had their fill.
