Hi all, just wondering at what age would you let puppies explore the garden? I have a litter of medium size working breed (all sold) who were 5 weeks yesterday.  last year I let them out at 6 weeks but the weather is so good I don't want to miss i, is 5 weeks too young? Obviously plenty of shade and water

my medium sized gundogs are going out this weekend. They were 4 weeks yesterday.

Mine have been out enjoying the sunshine at 4+weeks. They've even mastered the Little Tikes play centre with slide -great fun.

Four weeks at the latest for me and my pups - depending on the weather of course. Don't forget over the next few weeks to get them out in all sorts of conditions, not just sunshine ... and times of day, including night time. They need to experience all the outdoor sounds, early birds, wind, leaves rustling, anything and everything, including rain! :-) Can't beat summer puppies, enjoy :-D

I have had 4 week old Malinois pups out in snow -they loved it. Papillon pups I would not bring out into such cold weather until older, but this time of year they too would go in the garden at 4 weeks.

Medium (20kg bitch size) Spitz breed.  Mine start going outside (regardless of weather, just provide shelter) from 4 - 4 1/2 weeks, no way would mine not be climbing the walls indoors by then.
