Cn anyone give me an idea of a good raw diet for a 3 month old puppy ( staff X). At the moment he has 2 meals of kibble and 2 of lamb tripe.  I would like to gradually move to raw, but have never raised a puppy on a completely raw diet and would be concerned about getting the right amounts of everything. Thx

I bit the bullet and raised my latest pup on raw. What questions do you have exactly? :)

You would start by feeding him 10% of his bodyweight. There are different schools of thought on what is necessary and what isn't in a raw diet. Some feed fruit and veg, some use supplements, some feed on expected adult weight, but I kept it simple and still stick with the same diet. I feed 80% meat, 10% offal and 10% bone. As an adult you would feed between 2-3%.

If you have already fed tripe, a good protein to introduce next is chicken. Try giving a chicken wing with his tripe meal :) There are a few really good facebook groups, my favourite is just called "Raw Feeding" so look that up if you can! Very helpful bunch.

I'd ditch the kibble & just offer raw since they digest at different rates- most people just feed chicken for the 1st couple of weeks then add in different meats.
Check out Raw Feeding Uk on facebook- they are a huge help :)

I do feed the tripe and kibble in different meals, not mixed together.

What I was unsure of was how to know whether I would be feeding the right amount of calcium etc, especially whilst a puppy is growing, I would hate to cause any growth problems.
