This website was supposed to be up and running for breeder members by 1st April this year, since the changeover due to lack of customer service.

I've had nothing but problems trying to place an order.  Emails are ignored and I am losing the will to live.  Their breeder programme tab produces a blank page.  Does anyone else use Applaws, and where do you get it?  Thank you.

I don't use Applaws myself but petsupermarket are very good on price's and free delivery if that helps.

I use them myself and receive good service.

I only use the small dog variety as treats but I get it from Zooplus - good price compared to most places and quick delivery

Don't know how competative the prices are here as I don't use this food but the company is reliable and fast for delivery http://www.berriewoodwholesale.co.uk/sec/5514/Applaws/

I get mine from the pet side of Batleys

Wow, very expensive, in comparison to breeder prices.  With the amount of dogs I have, those prices are over the top for my pocket.

I did a survey some time ago via applaws to get a free trial bag. Forgot all about it and didn't hear anything, but two weeks ago received a parcel with a letter apologising for the poor service saying they had taken over the breeder club side now. I agree the website still doesn't work and I actually have no idea of the breeder club prices but I have managed to buy a bag at Batleys, so I can see if it agrees with the dogs. The ingredients look good so I think it's worth the aggravation at the moment until they get sorted.

Will see if my lot like it and then follow up with a phone call I think.

Well I am very pleased with the quality.  I was using Fish4Dogs until they changed it.  With the Applaws I find that I can feed to both the Toys and the Collies.  They just wolf it down.  I found that I needed to feed less of it and I have had no loose poos.  The condition of the dogs is excellent.

But the new "excellent Customer Service" that was promised as from 1st April has not materialised.  Last time I phoned they were still interviewing for the jobs!  I was eventually promised a phone call in May, but that has not happened either.  :-(

Seems ridiculous when they don't even need to sell the food, it sells itself.  There seems to be total disorganisation.  So disappointed, as I was assured that the new website would be fully functional from 1st April.

Just out of interest what are the breeder prices like?
With 4 giant girls the normal price is a bit pricey so have not tried the food but if breeder prices Re much better, wiill try it :-) if they get the site running etc...

Agree price has to be a factor.  I have a lot of dogs, so breeder prices make a huge, huge difference.  £50 is out of the question for me.  While £35 at breeder prices is worth it for the condition on the dogs.  And the kibble actually smells good enough to eat!

My papillon has just changed onto Applaws (slightly different recipe in Australia) and he loves it. He practically hoovers up his food and gets so excited at meal times he runs in circles yipping all the time!!

I have been told that www.workinghprs.com will be selling an 80:20 no grain food shortly. This food is very similar to Applaws and Simpsons 80:20 and made in same extrusion plant. I have no idea what prices will be like but the other feeds are excellent quality, good value, great service and prompt delivery from online order. Might be worth keeping an eye open on the web site or on their FB page if you experience ongoing difficulties.

I have just phoned Applaws as although registered for breeders club I couldn't log in. Turns out they sent an e mail (which went in to spam) with a password. So sorted now.

When you go to the breeders page, you have to click on the tiny words 'dry food' under the dog! I kept clicking on the dog, so I did point out it was difficult to see!

Hi, I have just joined Champdogs but for a while I was always looking for advice on all matters concerning our new puppy, Masie, an Italian Spinone. She is now 18 weeks old. We were feeding her ProPlan that was given to us by her breeder. She was constantly scratching for the first few weeks, and after a couple of visits to the vet, no evidence of fleas. The vet did suggest it could be an allergy to gluten, After researching the internet we thought we had found the answer, so we changed her food to Harringtons. We soon found that she seemed to be excreting as much as she seemed to eat, At least 6 times a day, and massive poo's. We thought that if she is doing this, what is she gaining in nutrition?  We then looked a lot closer at the ingredients of most dry dog foods. The majority were only about 20% or so protein. We decided to put her on Applaws. 75% protein,What a difference. As soon as I put her food down she eats ever thing, although the amounts suggested are much smaller than her previous food (she always seemed to leave some), we even used increase the protein in her old food by adding some tuna or mince.) to encourage her to eat it. With this new food, no encouragment needed. She only goes about 2 times a day, more solid. As soon as I opened the bag of Applaws, the smell was so good, it actually smelt of meat. I think that this is the next best thing to a BARF diet that we initally had concidered to put our much loved puppy on.  Hope this helps someone decide. Applaws bought from monsterpetsupplies, best price we found.

I love the smell of it too!  I could almost eat it myself.  :-)

I have certainly noticed that I needed to reduce quantity, so they are getting more nutrition, it is obviously satisfying their needs.  I think it is the best feed I've ever come across.

Just checked what price we paid. £34.99 for 12.5kg. for large puppy. A little cheaper for some of the adult food. If you spend £59.00 they offer free delivery. So we ordered 2 bags, came within a couple of days, also able to track our order, so we will use this company again. Great service.
