My Nando is very nervous of the groomers after an experience with one which handled him much too roughly (in front of my eyes so god knows what happened when I wasn't there!) He is quite a sensitive dog and very vocal. Anyway, today he had an appointment with a new groomer that was recommended to me. He is usually a quivering wreck when inside a vets surgery and as such hasn't been to the groomers since the first incident as in his mind they are one and the same. After I dropped him off this time (the groomer met me outside and met him as though we had just bumped into her on a walk) I had given her my mobile to call me if I needed to come and get him ASAP.

This particular groomer uses Tellington Touch and the difference in him was amazing! He came back calm, relaxed and confident. I am so proud of him (and the groomer) and astounded that it has such a good effect on a dog's behaviour. When I picked him up he was on the floor with the groomer who was making a big fuss of him!

Well done Nando, and well done that groomer, she sounds like a major find!! :-)

I have been aware of her, and the fact she uses Ttouch, for ages but he's never needed grooming until now and she was a natural choice. Honestly, I was so impressed and Nando was so relaxed afterwards. I cannot believe the difference it has made to him and I am now looking at Tellington Ttouch courses for myself to go on to learn some of the basics.
