Can anyone help. I have just knackered my mincing machine (just asked too much of it ! ) although it is only 6 months old I don't think it will be worth repairing. With the ammount of meat and road kill that I get I think a slightly more powerfull one would be best for me. Does anyone know where I would be likely to find a secondhand industrial machine. It only has to work it does not have to look pretty ! No hurry at moment but will need something by the autunm.

Perhaps you could try ebay ?

I suppose it depends on what you want to pay.

There's some on e-bay ranging from £350 for a Hobart or Butcher Boy,  down to £78 for a Northern tools piece of kit.

If you're mincing big bones and quantity you'll need something with a bit of 'beef' if you'll pardon the pun

Mmm, yes something with a bit of "oompf" in it, as I use whole phesants and whole rabbits amongst other tough stuff.
There are loads of the smaller ones on ebay, and the commercial/industrial are all new!  I was hoping to find a secondhand industrial type. I will speak to my butcher and see if he knows of where I may get one.
Iv'e just killed my Kenwood pro 1600, it has been doing so well untill today, (totally my fault ) but I now realise that a more powerfull one is what I will get.
I will google Hobart and Butcher Boy.  Phew might have to take out a new mortgage for these !!
I will keep looking though. I must get something before the game season starts.
Thank you :)

Talking to your butcher would be a good idea, I reckon. There are many places that deal in second-hand commercial equipment, so if you can find out where they are, that sounds like the way to go.

My butcher has given me 2 contacts and one is quiet local. :)
