Well, the countdown for my girl to have her puppies, has started.
She is a giant breed but is only expecting 3 puppies, confirmed by xray on day 51. Temp. is today 37,3 C and just like in her last pregnancy , she is already having plenty of milk.

The xray showed that one puppy has his head upwards towards the "exit" but the other 2 have their bums closest and their heads towards the ribcage. Does that mean that they are going to be born with their bottoms first or can they "turn around" just like human babys?

I am also a bit concerned if 3 puppies (due to giant breeds) is enough to start the labour and keep it going. What are your experiences?? Thankfull for answers

A normal canine presentation is roughly 50/50 head or feet first. 

A true breach is bottom first and fortunately rare.

At this stage as in humans it is too late to turn around as there is too little room, it has to happen when there is still enough fluid and space to flip over.

My son stayed breech up to 34/35 weeks and as a first pregnancy meant I would have needed a c/section but then one day in the bath he started to move, lying transversely for a minute and then another huge movement and I hoped he had gone head down and not back to where he started from, sure enough at clinic the next day he was head down.

I had twins, one head first, one breech who came naturally.

Well keep your fingers crossed that despite a small litter ,feet or bottom first doesnt matter when she is delivering.
