Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Food again

I can't find the thread, but recently someone posted a link to a site which compared loads of dry foods, and listed the best .

Can anyone remember the link?  Typical, I saved it to favourites and my computer died.  New computer knows nothing!

Was it this one?

Hello Jean

Perhaps it was this one?

whichdogfood.co.uk

Blay

ETA - sorry, link hasn't worked - but if you Google the phrase it should come up ...

Neither of those I'm afraid.  It actually listed everything with a star value.   5* being the most nutritious and correct for canines.

Are you sure it wasn't www.whichdogfood.co.uk as this site gives star ratings, 5* being the most nutritious.

It certainly doesn't look like the one I remember.  They actually listed feeds in order of star value (according to their own opinion).  Whereas the link you gave means you do the choosing.

Suspect the site you want will be http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/

Is there a version which is more applicable to the UK?

Was it http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com ?

It was a site that listed food like Arden Grange, stuff we would recognise this side of the pond.  It had Skinners near the top I remember.

How about pet-food-choice.co.uk
- By JeanSW Date 28.03.13 22:20 UTC
Not the one I meant, but thanks for posting goldie.   Very interesting site has feeds that I recognise at last!  :-)

I've saved to favourites so I can browse to my hearts content. It has so much information, and aimed at UK foods.  Very pleased.  :-)

Just saw this comparison site on fb today. I don't think it's the one you had in mind but looks interesting.

Thanks Esme.  I've trawled through it, and it's surprising to compare!  Most expensive doesn't mean best!  I don't think that Wainwright's have done too badly.  I recently saw a good offer online and bought a couple of sacks at a very good price.  When I take advantage of these offers, I mix in with their usual food.

I do think that it's good to compare, instead of just buying what we know.  As we know, some dog food companies change ingredients without telling us.
