Can anyone recommend foods to tempt a dog to eat with a ulcerated soft palate, my friend is starting to panic they will lose the bitch as she won't eat and so far has been on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories and now steroids but still no signs of improvement on the ulcerated area.

Raw green tripe? Or maybe fish 4 dogs salmon mousse?

I had suggested the RC puppy mouse, just to see if she could get the bitch to eat something, rather than nothing but forgot fish4dogs did a range.  Thanks

Some years back my girl had bleeding ulcers under the tongue and in the throat,caused by proteus bacteria.  I fed her for four months on hills a/d canned food. I had to stand over the dog,with her head facing forward,between my knees and put the food straight into the back of her throat.She actually seemed to know I was helping her  and was really cooperative,opening her mouth for the food.  I Swear by this food...it is for convalescing dogs,nursing ,mothers etc...very high energy in a small can.
