Topic Dog Boards / Health / Broken canine tooth! Ouch
- By Gemini05 Date 04.03.13 23:12 UTC
My boy has been clingy most of today, checked him over and he has a broken canine tooth (bottom).
I'm going to call the vets in the morning, but wondered if anyone else has advise / experience of this?
I have given him doggie pain killer and he seems relaxed, he is able to eat and drink.
Would this be covered by dog insurance?
My poor boy,,,,,,,,,

poor boy I would read through insurance policy it will be in the clauses.

As it's accidental damage, as opposed to elective dental work, I'm sure your insurance would cover it.

Just rang insurance and he is not covered for any dental or gum treatment ;( now to phone the vets for an appointment thanks everyone will keep you posted.

Well how silly, my boy is fine no broken tooth!!
He has grazed his gums and made them bleed a little! My vet is so good with my dogs they feel comfortable being examined
Glad I got it checked out though.
