Did anyone see the program on Really TV last night called "my weapon is my dog" ? They had pitbull cross french mastif as well as rotties crossed with pitbulls etc. Trained by thugs to attack to kill.
It was enough to put me off  walking my small dog in public places, but I have no option. When will this problem be properly delt with instead of bringing in minor rules such as microchipping, which is a good thing but it'll be a failure, just like the passport system for horses, which has been a total failure.

Have seen this program before has previously been shown on BBC3, although I agree the attitudes of the owners was disgusting that's the dogs were seen as a weapon. IMO it represented a very small minority of the public who own bigger breed. The dogue de Bordeaux shown (French mastiff) wasn't crossed but from what I could see was full ddb.

I wouldn't let the program put you off walking with your small dog as IMO ALL dogs are capable of fighting with other dogs when out, as a owner of two DDB's, it is program's like this that mean members of the public drag their dogs away from us it the park (our dogs are always on the lead) & people are superised at how well behaved and people/dog friendly our dogues are :)
