Has anybody used the clear nonslip tile treatments and did they work?

My workplace has just had tiles in the reception coated and it has not changed the look of them but has made them lot less slippy.
I'm trying to find out what was used but till I get hold of the right person, I wondered if anybody here has used such product in home environment and what did you use?
Quick google only brought up US sites so not sure if such products for domestic use are available in UK?
