Hi all

Just wondered if any has suffered or knows anybody who has suffered from this and what diagnosis and treatment they went through and how successful it was ?

Thanks
Lucy

Hiya when I was having my breast cancer treatment one of the ladies I meet in hospital had pagets. You have to forgive my hazy memory but I was I am sorry to say "in my own head not asking questions of others - I had learnt to keep a distance from people then having treatment - I was in the "protect your own heart" mode" however what I recall.

The lady had been monitored apparently for a while  before treatment and I think she said "it could not be cured" but symptoms could moderated and contained. I remember her saying it was "bone remodelling" not sure what it entailed though or the prognosis. I believe she was at risk of fractures and osteoarthritis.

From my hazy memory of very long ago nursing days, I seem to remember that Paget's disease of the breast is different from Paget's disease. The latter is to do with bone overgrowth, the former a type of breast cancer. I'm sure there will be up to date information available on the web.

Yes same Doctor who discovered them but different forms of cancer affecting different parts of the body.
