We havea bitch that is on day four of her season, we had her progesterone tested last season on day nine and was told she had to be mated day 10 as she had alfeady ovulated and it was our last chance to mate her. So we took her to the stud day 10 and she had a single mating but did not take, now she is back in season and clearly quite an early ovulator, when would everyone sugest i test her this season.

from day 4 if you think shes ovulating early my girl has just had a litter she was mated day 7 and 9 and 13 she had them on the day of 2nd mate big pups so not early at all.
