Is there anyway naturally of bringing a bitch into season?

Mine is now 2 months late and if he doesn't come in soon it will mean being in, more than likely over Crufts and I won't take her in season!

In my house its only her and my male so no chance of having another bitch to bring her in...

Everyone seems to be reportig late seasons recently, this was discussed a short time back and Galastop was mentioned but don't know how long that takes to work.

Also someone else told me sepia, have no idea though just remember being mentioned.

Thanks ladies,
I won't be touching galastop and while my vet is an exhibitor too I can't see him issuing that to me and not sure I'd want to be using that.

Ill have a look at Sepia in a local homeopathic shop tomorrow

your other option is delvesteron (sp). An injection on the first day or two will stop the season within a few days. It has the added advantage you only need to use it if the start date means she will actually be in season for Crufts

Googled it - this article mentions Sepia too - http://www.naturalrearing.com/coda/a_healthy_breeding_with.html

Enter them at a show you particularly want to go to? Probably won't work if it's Crufts you're trying to get her to though. :-p

I was going to say that Lucy! :)

Got much the same problem here, 2 bitches entered for Crufts, both could be in season then.

I'm lucky, Ellie was in just before Christmas and she cycles around 7 or 8 months, so no problem here! :-D

Do it naturally ie just wait, it will happen when she is ready.

Yep one of mine is 8 months at present, so could easily come in season for the first time next month, fortunately the other came in just after LKA..

If she does come into season for Crufts it'll save me a bundle of money on fuel for sure!!

Mine is due her second season and is entered for Crufts, this will likely be my only chance to exhibit, my first Crufts-qualifier, so if she comes in I am going to be totally distraught!
