I've got a cat flap that I don't need and it's broken, so currently taped shut.
I think I have seen some sort of cover that you put over the hole.
Anyone know what it is called or did I dream it ?!!!
this wont be much help Im afraid, but my cat flaps usually come with a cover to close it off.Could you ask round any cat owning friends to see if they have a spare?

I have one that just slides in to two grooves at the side, Completely useless as the dogs just push it out!!!

Mine doesn't have any place to slide a cover on.
I have seen something that just covers up the hole, but can't remember when or where I saw it.
Probably easier to just buy another Staywell cat flap that fits the existing hole !

Never seen that, but a new cat flap is about £15 in homebase :)

check on ebay . Mine is staywell and the cover sort of slides behind it. the groves are between the catflap edge and the door all covered up. We keep having to buy them as the dogs bash them so hard opening the door or try sticking their head and paws through. Being they are a gsd and a flat coat they dont fit !
i spent 40 pounds on a dog flap,as theyd run out of the cheaper ones, and within 2 days, the outside moveable frame had broken on one corner, had to put tape on it,and now,3months later the other corner broke so the whole bottom piece fell off, have to regularly tape both corners back on!Shant make the mistake of buying one of the same make again!
