Esme's pups are coming up to a week old (gundog breed, delivered by c-section), and although all pups are gaining weight there is one that when feeding has milk all around her chops and sounds snuffly as if the milk is coming out of her nose and she's inhaling/exhaling it. All pups were checked for cleft palates and were OK. I really don't want to have to go to the vets as it's soooo cold with loads of snow on the ground - I will of course if really necessary. Any suggestions?

One of my last litter had this.  It was fine within a couple of weeks and no further problems thereafter.   Agree with Whitelilly regarding greedy pup.  He is now a very handsome 5 year old and still greedy!

Thanks, I'll play it by ear. I've lifted her to my ear and she's not rattly so think you might be right and she's just a greedy gal :)

Had this with a litter that were born by c-section a number of years ago,  Vet felt it could have been after effects of anaesthetic etc.  By a couple of weeks she was fine, also a medium sized Gundog.
