Just wondered if it was snowing where you are?

We just had a few flakes near Nuneaton.
- By lollypop [gb] Date 13.01.13 07:17 UTC

- By Jan bending Date 13.01.13 08:26 UTC
East Sussex -damp and mud ,mud and more mud !
Wish it would snow.
- By PDAE [gb] Date 13.01.13 08:43 UTC
Nope just frost in Manchester. Motorway signs last night warned of snow.
- By roscoebabe [gb] Date 13.01.13 08:54 UTC
No snow here yet (west mids). It snowed yesterday morning but didn't stick. Had a very hard frost last night. Forecast snow for tonight though. I shall cry in the morning if it does lol. It's no fun in my job when there's snow on the ground with all the driving I have to do. Main roads are ok but it's the side roads and the housing estates that can be a nightmare.
- By Daisy [gb] Date 13.01.13 09:40 UTC
Tiny bit of snow when I woke up this morning in Norfolk :)
- By Bunnyfluff Date 13.01.13 09:41 UTC
No snow here in my part of the South East.  That does not mean that two roads away haven't got it.  In this corner whatever the weatherman says we have our own weather.  Snow in June, hot sun in February.
- By chaumsong Date 13.01.13 09:57 UTC
We have snow in Scotland :-)

I'm doing a transport run for a rescue today, so I hope we all complete our various parts before it gets really heavy, it's just a pretty white covering at the moment.
- By JeanSW Date 13.01.13 10:09 UTC
Sunshine in the south west.  We did have a bit of rain yesterday.

It's cold but bright.  I like it when the sky is blue.
- By furriefriends Date 13.01.13 11:06 UTC

- By waggamama [gb] Date 13.01.13 12:37 UTC
A smattering on the ground this morning and a few tiny flakes falling but that's it. Long may it last.
- By tooolz Date 13.01.13 14:27 UTC
Light flurries as we left Boston show today.
- By Wait Ok Date 13.01.13 15:01 UTC
We've just had some really dark sky come over still very dry and cold, not a single flake though, bright skies again now !! Central South coast
- By suejaw Date 13.01.13 15:27 UTC
Waiting patiently for it. I live in the south east; just north of south downs where it differs greatly to the south in Brighton... It looks threatening out there and it's just suddenly dropped in temp too!!
- By Wait Ok Date 13.01.13 15:33 UTC Edited 13.01.13 15:40 UTC
We were on our way home from Havant and the sky was sooo dark but since we have been home the sky has cleared. Sometimes the South Downs seem to protect us from what is coming down from the north. Oh how I long for some snow and the dogs love it too. Watching them play in it is so entertaining. Great fun.
- By colliepam Date 13.01.13 16:30 UTC

- By gwen [gb] Date 13.01.13 19:11 UTC
Nothing here yet, but yesterday evening as I drove home  got within about 5 miles of home and noticed all the houses/farm buildings (not a lot of them - country road) had snow covered roofs, but nothing at all on roads and hedges etc. very odd!  Very cold, and not signs of stars so coudl be snow cloud cover and about to come down :)
- By Cani1 [gb] Date 13.01.13 19:19 UTC
Nothing here in North Northumberland but we are expecting some soon. You wouldn't think it though , we have been down the beach today and it was lovely and warm with loads of sunshine. Don't think it will be like that tomorrow somehow .
- By PDAE [gb] Date 13.01.13 19:29 UTC

Where I am in Canada snow and cold is very important to our winter economy which depends on alpine and nordic skiing, snowmobiling and icefishing.  Dogsledding tours and snowshoeing are also important.  We had a nice batch of a foot and a half of snow, in three separate falls, over Christmas and New Years.  Not enough cold to freeze the lakes and stupid snowmobilers and ice fishers are going through.  Sadly most survived so the stupid gene pool goes on.

But now we have a January thaw and only downhill skiing, with it's man made snow, is still going.  Trails are closed, they're down to mud in lots of places.  I wouldn't snowshoe for fear of spearing my shoes on sticks and rocks and ruining them.  Yesterday Oban and I walked in the bush in about 5 inches of wet, sloppy snow that was very hard to walk in.

Please, Let it SNOW.  And get cold.
- By Wait Ok Date 14.01.13 15:26 UTC
