i have a small garden now and raised flower beds,
i know lavender and honeysuckle and night scented stocks are strongly scented,
i am looking for some other strong scented flowers, climbers,
plants that will flower every year but roses are a no no i love roses
but OH said no so any ideas please thankyou

We like things which brighten up the winter garden too.
Viburnums and Christmas Box (Sarcococcus) have fairly insignificant flowers but lovely smells on a still day in mid winter.

For the summer you cant beat Jasmine, honeysuckle and lily for strong scent.

can't have lillys in the garden due to the dogs as they can be poisinous to dogs but thanks for the others brilliant

Would oh consider roses if thornless as that's often why people do like them. If so have a look at david austin roses.

will have a look at that rose thanks, he does not like them due to loosing colour etc over the winter

Sweet peas are an obvious choice for a well scented climber, advantage being you can cut and have indoors in a vase too.
