I am trying to get back to working in the hospital from working on the Community Bank - harder than you may imagine ! Anyhow, when I go on the NHS jobs site to apply for jobs there is a question I don't understand in the pre-application questions. It asks, 'Do you have XXXX qualification or an equivalent ?' The next question is about NMC registration so I know that XXXX isn't NMC reg. Anyone know ?
XXXX are generic on lots of NHS forms, it's the qualification relevant to the post applied for ( as most of the application forms are generic for all posts) If that makes sense!?
It's a Staff Nurse post and there is also the question about NMC, so it's not that. I think whoever has 'made' the advert should have put something in the XXXX place but hasn't. Back in the good old days you just went up to the Personnel department and spoke to a real person. These days it's all computerized. Thanks for your replies.
Ahh I see, I misunderstood. I thought you had substituted XXXX rather that put the actual course number.
I agree then, the HR person that typed up the advert has boobed. Ads ask for certain essential qualifications and others that are deemed desireable. Ring them up. Good luck.
