Anyone had a problem with Bully/Pizzle sticks bought at the Champ Shows causing Diarrhea, I know they stink but I didn't realise that they can carry Salmonella as well, I have a large bag(50) from one of the shows and am wondering whether to just throw them away.

There's a bug going around at the mo. More likely to be that.

A healthy dogs gut can deal with salmonella.

In fairness there are soooo many servorars of Salmonella ( runs into the thousands!) that it cannot be a blanket statement to say dogs are unaffected by salmonella.
Salmonellosis can occur in dogs, thankfully very rare strains and incidents. ( can sometimes be seen in DEFRA's publishings) uncommon but a dogs digestive system does not protect it from all servorars.

In context though I have dogs that are raw fed ( and come from a Norwegian family of whom for all generations dogs were fed raw, from farm hunting and road kill!!) I don't know of an instance in my experience..
Rare but not say can't happen.

I would be surprised in this instance of your Bull pizzles but some of the imported Chinese stuff does test for quite a lot of bacterium and chemicals... Which is worse to me!
