Hi i have a 14wk SBT bitch who is completely different from Tilly.
Kyra (puppy) is still very nippy with the teeth and have tried the bite stops here if you make a noise this encourages her to bite more. And everytime you look at her or dogs go to her crate she barks and tries to get them through the bars. I need some advice in how i can change this. Im thinking at this rate her first show she will be barking at the judge, any advice will be truly appreciated. Thank you for reading.

Can anyone give me some other ways of stopping her nipping and how to stop her barking

I've found the best way to stop nipping/mouthing is to use a combination of methods.

1. Don't allow her to get over-excited in the first place because that's a sure trigger for nipping.
2. If she has squeaky toys then squealing will only wind her up, so don't do it.
3. When she gets mouthy say calmly and quietly "No, gently" and give her one of her toys, shaking it so that she starts ragging it; saying "Good girl" now will teach her that ragging her toys is allowed!
4. If she's become hyper despite your best efforts to lower the household excitement levels then either carry her, without a word, to her playpen for 'time out' or if she's already in a safe place simply leave the room for a couple of minutes.

If being shut in her crate away from the other dog who is free, and this is winding her up, then don't let the other dog wander around in the room while she is crated.

I would also recommend the use of a houseline (only costs about £3) for the pup to trail when supervised and free.  If pup gets nippy, it is easy to control her then, especially with kids around, and it circumvents people grabbing for puppy all the time and the pup learning to dodge human hands.

Just to add - the houseline shouldn't be used to give 'corrections' or punish the dog or used with a 'no' accompanying it, it is more used to remove the dog from whatever he's doing which you don't want, and you then need to distract and redirect him onto something more appropriate.
