My six year old Golden Retriever has developed red staining in the corner of both eyes just recently. The eyes don't look sore, but the hair around them is wet and stained. Could this be red yeast infection? Does he need to see the vet? How do you remove the staining from the hair?

Don't know what it is but as it is something to do with the eyes and is something new I would say yes your dog does need to see a vet. The problem may be because the eyes have started to water and it is that which will need to be treated.
