Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Millies Wolfheart

Hi,
This has been mentioned several times as a replacement for F4D, I have had samples of this and the dogs seemed to like it. I wondered if anyone had used this food yet as before I order some it would be nice to have some feedback from someone who was using this food for their dogs, regarding poos, skin etc.

Many thanks Satincollie, I was just wondering how these folk got on with the food in the longer term, and whether they are still feeding it, had any runny bums etc. It is quite expensive and want to do as much homework as poss before splashing out. They have given me a £4 discount off my next order ( this is because I spent out £4  on samples and they are refunding it if I order a 10kg or 15kg bag )

I use it and my boy has been great on it, my neighbour now uses it and my mother

I would suggest you went through their website and joined their facebook page they have a community page and an open group there you will find people who have been using it including me and they are a wealth of info and fun

poop fine usual transfer over one to other issue but i used my F4D and did as they suggested over a few days and we have firm poop here

hope that helps

I dont work for millies but I am a great supporter of their food, their family firm and customer support! as my dog loves it

I hope moderator doesnt remove this post as its rather off putting when they do

Perhaps if all your posts were not regarding this food they might not be so suspicious :)

Being new to posting forums and 45 years young and a elderly father to contend with my internet access is limited, I do loads of reading here and have been an observer of this for ages and the only one I have ever spoken out on, as this change was important to me and most important to my dog
I thought I would share my experiences as I thought it would help others.

suspicious? oh dear I feel I am back at school

Forums are a funny place and I did think twice

I am sure my view is as important as yours stooge but I dont have time for foolish games

however if you could inform me how to upload my photo's and fill in my profile that would be very very helpful and explain in plain English what an aviator is I would be grateful of constructive advise

It was you that feared your post would be removed.

Avatar and profile - click on "Options" top right and proceed from there. It is a very long time since I did one so not sure I can help further than that.

Many thanks Mussymum, this is exactly the type of feedback I wanted. I am so glad you mentioned this food on the other thread.
As an EX user of F4D I needed a replacement but similar food, and it was you mentioning this brand that I had never heard of that gave me the good alternative food that I was looking for.
I have this evening taken the plunge and ordered a 15kg sack. I just hope they like it as much as they did the samples - I have threatened Battersea Dogs Home if they don't eat it !!!

You mentioned on the previous thread that you were using a trial of this food on your dog, I doubt if you would be using a trial size if you worked for Millies, so again many thanks

It would not be the first time that an individual had come onto the board to advertise their own products and as that is not allowed on the forum then all posts that rave about a particular product on numerous threads are viewed with suspicion. especially when they are the only posts made.
Limited time may well mean few posts but surely more than one subject would attract attention.

Sorry this is my fault for asking for feedback on this brand of food, if I hadn't started this thread then I am sure it would not have been mentioned again.
So apologies if this has caused any distrust or bad feeling.

(You will see on the Health forum I posted regarding my little dog that was passing blood, I thought that Rimadyl could be the cause. She had been moved from F4D to Arden Grange, however the specialist she is seeing thought it could be to do with the rice in this food and suggested I should try to find another food using potato. This is the reason I bought up the subject of Millies.)

Not at all :-D my comments were in response to the mention of posts being removed.

Ok, I'm not using Millies at the moment, but it is one I will use, hopefully in the future. I was extremely impressed when I got in touch to discuss an issue with one of my specially girlies with a food intolerance. If you have a look at the ingredients I'm not sure what there is that you'd find to cause a problem, even down to the herb content!

As it is, my girly with food intolerance is on RC hydrolized feather fodder, I know which she'd prefer (puts remains of tea aside for biscuits & bed :( ). No idea about 'moles' ... the lovely Ness from AG has posted, there's been someone else I've wondered about. I'd just say give it a go if it appeals to you, but give it a decent chance. Sadly with the numbers of dogs I have it's out of my league for the all ... goes to check lottery ticket!

LOL at the moles comment :-D Hope your back is easing.
(ooops off topic naughty)
