Just wonding if you buy a dog toy and it breaks on the first day do you have any rights to take it back and get a refund?
I did get a replacment when one toy broke with in litualy 2 minits of fay having it but the person serving in pets at home i went to college with so i dont know if she was just doing me a favor or not.
Now ive seen a new range of toys in pets at home that claim to be the worlds toughest toys. its got 4 layers, fabric, luggage fabric, plastic and more luggage frbric.  thry rate them from 1 - 10 for strength and they have one 10 toy but its £19 and im tempted but dont want to wast my money if it doesnt last 5mins likea lot of her other toys.

Goods have to be suitable for purpose, so if it is sold as a dog toy you have a right to expect to be able to use it as a dog toy. If the description leads one to think that it is tough then it must be and should last a reasonable length of time, although what reasonable means I don't know, but I do not doubt the trading standards would say it should be over a year.

I bought my dog a toy monkey with a squeak and no stuffing from PAH last week. She had an arm off before we got home !!
Not exactly fit for purpose but I didnt think to take it back, my pup loves to chew holes in fabric and smelly socks are her favourite find. I have never darned so many socks !

I've had 2 of the tuffies toys and compared to the average soft dog toy they do last longer. Henry is obsessed with making a hole and removing the stuffing.  One lasted about 8m and the other about 6m. He is like I say a very bad chewer though.  I think if your dog does like to munch through soft toys you sort of have to accept that they won't last long.

I recently got one of the kong safe sticks and he loves to chew on it but it's also very tough

thank you i think ill have to pop in and ask PAH what there policy is with toys and returns. As long as it doesnt fall apart after one day ill be happy lol
