I had a litter of pups born the day before I moved house, what I did was I kept the bitch and the pups in the large cupboard I used as a welping room this was off the kitchen so at the back of the house, as I wasnt moving very far away, we left her in the house with the pups, and got a welping room set up in the new house, and when that was done I went back and brought her and the pups in the car to the new house, did not have any problems with the bitch or the pups, everything was fine and of course I left out food and drink for the bitch. They all settled in long before the family did LOL. they had their wee cosy corner while we were all stepping over boxes etc. a nightmare, I pictured her having the pups the day of the removal, and to put the icing on the cake so to speak, we did not know she was having pups!!!!! we kept her and the dog separated, I still blame my son, I think he must have let them out in the garden together, but, never mind, got 4 lovely pups, that was nearly 3 years ago. not had a litter since.

I would move them when the pups are about 2 weeks old that will be ok providing the mother is happy and content.
