We've been going to Days Inn but have been put off by our last experience where they complained because one of the dogs barked once, and they've started charging per dog which I'm sure they didn't do last time we went away. I wonder if anyone can recommend somewhere not too expensive but nice (!) to stay (a) for Crufts, and (b) for UK Toy. We've found a delicious pub in Stowe by Chartley, so in a perfect world it would be somewhere between there and the showground lol!

Was hoping you would get some suggestions too as I have only used travelodge and days inn as well and like you fancy a change.
Have to say I got a good deal with travelodge in solihull this year,£19 for a double room ,but have noticed it is much more expensive for next years crufts dates.

Is it worth having a look for some towns in the area you want to be and maybe emailing or ringing thier local tourist info places or google b and bs in xxxxxx.  Then ask them if they would accept dogs, if not they might point you in the right direction

I've tried various websites, I've got a couple of enquiries in as to availability and whether they take dogs, so I'll let you know if they work out. Of course that doesn't mean they'll be any good to stay in! :-p
