Have you ever meet a dog walker that is so laid back as to seem an idiot? I met one yesterday and was so shocked (also worried about his dog now). I was leaving the beach in my car yesterday morning when I came up behind a man with an off lead border collie, lots of people leave there dogs off lead on this lane so I just tutted to myself and slowed down. The next thing I heard a huge thump, Oh God I've just run that mans dog over!, emergency stop and jump out only for the guy to be smiling and laughing.
Confused I tell him that I think I've just hit his dog and we should find him, the guy tells me its ok I didn't hit the dog, the dog had jumped and shoulder barged my vehicle. As he was telling me how border collies aren't very clever dogs the dog did come back, didn't have any visible injuries and the man just walked off, still not putting his dog on a lead though!
I couldn't believe it and do worry I've injured the poor dog, it could have a hairline fracture or internal bleeding, it makes me really cross that people can be so cavalier towards their pets. Can't imagine that collie will last long with an owner like that :(

i live near the coast and the amount of dogs that get killed each year because the owners dont have the common sense to put them on a lead. dog chases rabbit or plays too close to the edge and then its over the cliff and too late to do anything as the damage is done.
theres nothing wrong with being 'laid back' but the line has to be drawn somewhere. what an idiot. > xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">he was telling me how border collies aren't very clever dogs ...er, yearh right, clearly not clue up about his breed knowledge either!!!
