Can anyone recommend an Estate car with an especially low tailgate for a fussy golden retriever who refuses to jump very high?

Many thanks. Jill.

Jill - some of the dog catalogues like "Pets Pyjamas" sell ramps for older stiffer dogs to walk up into cars. They then fold up to fit in the car.I don't know if this would help or not and have never tried them but thought I would mention it anyway.

I have a Mitsubishi Lancer GLXi Estate and my westie can jump in the back himself I find this is lower than my last car which was a colt, I have a trolley Table to put in and also cages. so I find the boot space in this car a lot better. hope this helps.and this car is not expensive to buy new. Not as dear as some other makes.this is my 3rd Mitsubishi they are very reliable cars.

I have a Citroen and they have hydrolic suspension,so they are very low to the ground when "resting" and nice a comfy going over humps and bumps,
one of the biggest boots on the market, and seem to be on the cheaper side of the market to buy 2nd hand.
