Topic Dog Boards / Health / Red eyes- detoxification Raw?
- By dollface Date 08.09.12 15:02 UTC
I was told the dogs can go through detoxification on raw-

My dogs eye's are red- more so my boston
terriers, noticed it yesterday. Could this be due to the fact they are on raw, and will it eventually go away?

What other things do I need to watch out for?

Thank you :-)

They mostly get chicken or turkey with added in veggies, organs & liver cause it is a lot cheaper then all the other meat- its def a lot healthier then feeding kibble for sure.
I am hoping my next order I can add in some variety but all depends on the price. Also planning on checking local butcher shops either this weekend or next.

I never noticed it with mine

Doesn't sound likely that any detox would manifest in this way - I'd suspect seasonal irritation due to dust or pollen.  Check with the vet though if there is any discharge :)

I wouldnt expect it to be connected to th food. Maybe avisit to the vet if it persisits or becomes itchy or runny

Nope just a lil red- maybe due to pollen like you said hubby and son's allergies are acting up as well.

Will keep an eye on them- they still seem very normal in themselves.

Thanks :-)
