Could anyone shed any light on why my labrador has afternoon poo isses??!!

Basically on his morning walk his poo is normal, however on his afternoon walk he is windy, has diorreah and sometimes there is a jelly like bag in his diorreah..  This has been going on for approx a week..  He is not off his food and is not poorly and there are no worms in his poo..  He doesnt eat before his afternoon walk so therefore I do not know why on an afternoon as regular as clockwork he has diorreah... I ahve given him a wormer from the vet which seemed to clear this up for a day or two but now the diorreah is back again, only on an afternoon??

Any suggestions??

Thankyou in advance

Sounds like what ever he was fed at breakfast isn't being digested properly, have you changed his food or the company changed the recipe?

What he passes in the morning has been in his system overnight and had more time for excess fluid to be removed so you don't get diarrhoea then, how about adding yoghurt/probiotic to the diet to try and correct the bacteria in the gut.

Take a sample to the vet, doubt there is an infection or it would be 24/7.

Steamed pumpkin/butternut squash works quickly to solidify stools within hours, giving some after breakfast should work by his afternoon walk.

It's normal for poos to get increasingly small and wet, as you move through either your walk or the day - the food is passing through faster.

You could try some probiotics to see if that helps, or try changing the food.  Nature Diet has a high bone content, which seems to result in firm poos.

Is he overweight?  Could you be overfeeding him, as that is another cause of sloppy poos?
