Hi All,

Those of you who raw feed, how do you feel about the ethics of the meat production? I am a vegetarian myself so I do feel a little guilty when I know the meat I am feeding Nando probably wasn't raised particularly well. I try my best to source his raw meaty bones from ethical places and today I found an amazing butcher!

I got 6 organic, outdoor raised, rare breed chicken carcasses, and 40 chicken necks for £5!!! I don't think I could afford to make up his entire diet from ethical sources, however it pleases me to know I now have a steady supply (He has told me I can do a monthly or weekly order as he has freezer space for up to 100 carcasses!!) of ethical chicken bits. I also got some great offal from him, some organic beef kidney.

Does anyone else worry about feeding ethically? I am thinking of a small website project for myself, I was thinking of creating a directory of ethical meat sources for raw feeding.

That sounds like a fantastic idea. I too struggle with this. You do your best for your dog and the best you can for the chickens!
