Will my 6 week old puppy's be ok in the kennel and run whilst the weather is wet?? Or are they better off coming back inside whilst it's wet? (they have been outside now during the day for a week, but it's been warm and dry).

Is it a large breed?
I wouldn't be happy leaving pups outside over night no matter what the weather was doing during the day, you hear of litters of pups being stolen and not seen again, I would be up at every little sound.

They are only out in the day, always in at night, and that includes my three adult bitches. I just worry about them getting chills etc, they are medium size working dogs and the pups all cuddle together when sleeping in the sleeping part of the kennel, the runs undercover too, so they are reasonably well protected.
As long as they have somewhere warm and dry to go when it rains, not running around in an uncovered run. I am presuming this is a large breed.
Mine prefer to be outside at 6 weeks and start crying at the door to get out but I do agree with Rhodach, bring them in at night (which you probably do). Not only do I worry about litter thieves, I worry about wildlife, foxes and buzzards etc. Daft but I do.

I'd have full scale rebellion if I tried to bring mine in for any length of time in the day at that age.
By six weeks they aren't even happy with the dog run (10 x 12 feet), but are using the whole of the dogs area interacting with the adults, though I do shut the back door on them when being fed so the adults don't scoff their food ;).
My medium sized breed (now nearly 11 weeks) have been in outside housing since about 5 weeks of old - we've had lots of wet :( As Brainless has said, mine would not thank me at all if I were to contain them inside :-O They got onto all 4 legs and they were most determined to make every opportunity of using them :-) I just made sure they had somewhere to snuggle down if they needed to ... they like tyres lined with vet bed and trugs, also lined with vet bed, forget any fancy doggy beds :-)

My friend had no outside shelter for his only second litter some years ago, and pups could come and go out of the sectioned off living room via open patio doors (sliding type).
Where do you think they preferred to rest, in the planters, where they had dug holes! Even when it rained, as long as it wasn't a deluge they preferred to stay outside. They screamed blue murder from 5am when the doors were closed keeping them in.
