Can all you people out there tell me the fors & against a raw food diet.i would love to know all about it.

Ive been feeding raw for nearly 3 years now, cant see any"against"s unless its having to get another freezer, remembering to order supplies, and remembering to defrost!"Fors"-great coat, smaller poos with less smell, sparkly teeth-too much damned energy(joke!)I hope you decide to go for it.Maybe do some reseach on line,or get a good book, like Tom Lonsdales "Work Wonders".Good luck!

Having fed both foods to the same dog, I can honestly say I don't think I'd ever go back to feeding commercial food, unless something changes in the coming years!

There is reduced stools that don't smell nearly as bad, his breath is much fresher and the teeth cleaning is great for him, too. I think his coat has improved too. The only negatives I can see, are remembering to defrost it and perhaps in some areas sourcing the raw food may be hard too.

I also know exactly what is going into my dog, where as I think with commercial foods there are added chemicals that I don't necessarily want to put in my dog. The other negative is perhaps freezer space! Luckily we always have loads of freezer space as we have a chest freezer and our upright fridge freezer, so I have a draw from the fridge freezer and a section of the chest freezer, just for dog things.

Bookwise, I'd really recommend Ann Ridyard's the dog's dinner revisited.

yes Ann Ridyards book is fab for new people.

Been raw feeding for nearly 2 years and would never go back to kibble now ever.

Ann is local to me and is a raw food supplier to our local area. She is obviously very passionate about raw, she could talk all day about it and is so helpful with any queries!
