I have been given a bad of large salmon heads.

It is ok for the dogs to have them, my only concern is that the teeth seem a little sharp.

I know that they would love them and probably be devoured quickly.

I dont want to end up with vets bills if they will cause problems.

I've only given them once & whether I gave too many but wouldn't again, very rich.

Sever colitis with blood, had to let the poor dog out every 45 minutes during the night - ended up at the vet - an expensive meal.

Girls love them and not effect on them :-)

I have fed them but I did remove the teeth first of all as I agree they are very sharp - might not be necessary but it made me feel more comfortable. I have been feeding raw for about 7 years now and salmon teeth and some of the sharp fins on other fish are the only items I have ever worried about feeding.

One dog will eat them the other won't and I got bitten by one :-D

Did try a couple with them but they didnt like them much. Probably to slippery for them

You could always boil them up, strain, and freeze as a tasty stock.

Good idea perhaps will try again, get them free from our branch of Waitrose.

I have been gifted some by a very kind fishmonger and ended up just giving it to Nando as-is. He is quite big and he even found it hard to eat. He was exhausted after it, but he absolutely loved it. I couldn't believe the size of it!

I give them to my four who are raw fed, they love them.
