Are there any canine societies or regular shows held in this area, or within an hour or so's drive?

Greyhound. What would you consider a reasonable instance in this case? My sister is moving to the area so if there are shows nearby I may bring my dogs over from Ireland on the ferry if it's not going to involve 10 hour drives every which way! :)

It's a fab location to be able to travel up to a few hours. Loads of different locations, the main being Ardingly and Maidstone. Many in Essex, Slough, Guildford, Portsmouth, Southampton etc.... Fosse and ejc print are good sites to check for most local open shows in the south east... There are a few Greyhound classes as I always look for a friend who has one she shows.  Great hound open show at Hickstead each year which I always go to watch and help!!
