OH and I just looked at each other then shouted at him to "get up" when he did there was my lovely groomed clean dog... covered in fox poo......... so we have some before and after pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yep... more bathing....

:-D :-D :-D

I could see that coming, of course he just couldn't stand that terrible smell and had to cover it up with au de fox poo! :-D

What a shame after all that work he could have waited a day or two at least. :-)

Well.. talking about' Au de' ( as in odour ) I had a memorable experience a couple of years ago on a bus journey between Budapest and London ( I was doing this every 6 weeks or so ) We got to Calais 20 hours  into the journey and in addition to the usual security checks the French police boarded the coach with a sniffer dog . Up and down the coach  the dog and handler went and each time doggie comes back to me and shows  interest. So... I'm ordered off the coach with luggage and marched away for questioning and intimate scrutiny of my baggage - mostly dirty washing . Fact was, I was wrapped in a blanket  ( it gets pretty cold at night on these coaches) that my doggies often sleep on , including Meg who had recently been in season. It was Eau de dog ( or more specifically eau de chienne) rather than eau de ( odour ) drogue  that sniffer doggie had detected. I was pretty cross and told them they should train their dogs to differentiate between the two but they were not amused. Every one on the bus hated me because we missed the ferry and were hours late arriving in London. The joys of dog ownership !
