Topic Dog Boards / Health / Vomiting after eating grass compost..

Hi guys, my friend is really concerned about her two dogs. She found almost black coloured vomit this morning with pieces of grass in there. She thinks that her two dogs managed to gain access to the part of the garden she closes off where she has grass composting. There is no weed killer on the grass, but it was extremely fermented. She took her dogs to the vet who gave them a thorough check and said there were no obstructions and the tummy felt fine. They are both passing motions which are not the usual stools, they are semi firm and smelly and lighter in colour. The motions earlier were hard and black. They both didn't eat this evening and have been vomiting through the night throwing up the water they are drinking. My friend's one dog is wanting to drink a lot, but the vet has told her to make sure she isn't drinking too much in one go. She has called the vet this evening and the vet told her to give the dogs milk. I can't understand that myself as some dogs are intolerant to milk. Has anyone else experienced a similiar problem? The concern is the grass was very fermented, they are both vomiting clear liquid and have not eaten since this morning and my friend is extremely worried and is currently sat up with them both to watch them. I am worried about the fungi or mold that would have been present in the grass and the high level of nitrogen with the grass breaking down. If anyone has experienced a similiar problem and can offer any advice it would be very gladly received and appreciated.
