My stethoscope arrived today and I wondered whats the earliest you can detect heartbeats in a medium size breed. Shes on day 24 today im guessing its too early yet ?

I didn't have any luck with a stethoscope, just lots of bowel noises and Mum's heart beat and I have 40yrs experience using one on humans

Yes, too early yet. Can't remember when it was I heard little heartbeats (very very fast, almost like a little fluttery drumming) but it was much later on than that. :-)

isnt it around 8wks?
