Has anyone had their dogs go hyper on this I have moved from puppy to junior as she is 10mths old now and am about a third way down the bag but for the last few days she is hyer , panting, almost seems anxious and can't settle, Whiney and just about bloody mad . I think the likelihood is its the food as nothing else as changed, if I put her on the adult rott royal canin would this be ok? What do you think ?

I'd be happy to put her on an adult food at 10 months :)

My pup was on adult food at 6 months and he's a Mastiff - so not even half way grown at that age.

It may be an idea if you change over gradually, over the course of a few days or so. Eg. day 1 use 80% current food with 20% adult food, day 2 75% to 25%, day 3 50:50 and so on, just to help avoid any upset tums from a sudden change.

I agree with a gradual change (used to be an RC rep ) but I wonder of her behaviour is she is due in season , or is coming up to 9 weeks after her first season ....where some bitches have an unsettled stage ...partial phantoms...trusting there is no raised temperature connected with the panting.....

I wouldn't want to be putting a large breed dog onto an adult food until they are closer to the 18mnth mark.. If its not agreeing with her then I'd try a different brand of food. I don't know what split RC has these days but it always used to have a lot of grain which I personally don't like.. My girl same breed as yours is 15mnths and has just gone onto an adult food, but it's Acana. I do add in part raw food too now as well. Her breeder strongly advised me not to put her on an adult food before now!
Seasons, weather other dogs in household or nearby households can have an affect too... As others have said is she due in season?

Thanks everyone, I did the change from puppy to junior gradually over about four days adding more each feed but it's since she has been just on the junior at first I thought she was just very giddy but now this has carried on and on and she s a nightmare very hyper indeed pant pant pant . She had her season and as since had a phantom for which she had gala stop other than this behaviour she is in tip top condition and health, she as always been a naughty puppy but this isn't enjoyable for any of us ,
