Don't regularly worm the dogs but due to the enormous amount of recently mentioned snails & slugs & both daily consumers of grass I've bought Panacur 10% suspension. Should I just give the one dose or would you recomend the increased dosing of 3 or 7 days? Many thanks.

The directions for lung worm are for 7 days at a reduced dosage, IIRC.  It's in the instructions.

Jean. Thank you, I had read on the forum that it was reduced dosage after the first dose & typical me had misred the instructions. Don't think  they have lungworm but as they are daily grass eaters would you give just the one treatment or for peace of mind give the 7 day course?

Not being a person who enjoys bunging chemicals into dogs if it isn't needed, I know I would single dose.

However, I think it all depends on how you feel your dogs are.  If healthy and no reason to suspect anything, one dose.  If it's running rife in your area, then err on the side of caution.

If you are treating because you're worried about lungworm, a single dose is unlikely to be effective. 

If you've already given one dose at the regular amount, then I'd leave it a week and then do the 7 day course.  Otherwise you're just worming your dog as usual, not treating for lungworm.
