Our rehomed Collie/Spaniel cross was fed on this before we had him so we have continued with it. It is only £10.50 for a 15k bag. Poos are easy to pick up and dont smell much. He poos around 4 times a day. Does anyone else use it?

I have used it in the past, and my daughter feeds her 5 dogs on it and they are all very healthy. I think CSJ products are excellent.

I have used it myself in the past, and many agility people swear by it.

I use it for my dogs :-D The youngest one is like a
lunatic on speed

with any other food - even CSJ, so we just stick to this with all ours and they are doing brilliantly on it.

Tried it, didn't like it. All the poos (and we have 10 dogs) came out a horrible yellow colour and very cereal-like in appearance and texture. Used it for several months to see if they settled on it but no.
Best thing I ever bought! Managed to convert about 5 other people already and we have only been on it 6 weeks!

My little dogs are now 100 % raw fed. The big dogs get raw all weekend and one raw meal during the weekday (i.e. my hubby feeds them the yucky meat I don't want to see!), but the other 5 weekday meals are CSJ and have been for the past 3 years. Use Natural Champ and Old Champ.

I have just changed my lab onto CSJ Champ as he started started having loose poo and the vet thought it may have been due to the food he was on. I have to say that I am very pleased with it so far. His poos are now dry, almost crumbly even, and he enjoys it and it's very economical! I hadn't intended to feed it to my small breed dogs but they love to get some too if they can, so it must be tasty.

Do you know how it compares to the That'll do variety? I have read lots of positive feedback on csj on here, but it is difficult to know which one to go with. I wish I had a stockist a bit nearer too as I think postage is nearly £7, which bumps up the price somewhat.
Do most people find that their poos (dogs!) are ok with this food and does it vary between the different varieties?
Was also thinking of offering mine some tinned chappie and wondered if this would be an ok combination, or is it best to stick with one or the other? Or would a bit of raw meat with the dry complete be better?
I have used the That'll Do, but found the dogs were out of coat on it, and didn't come back in....changed back to Lamb & Rice and coats grew back, the Salmon one is really good as well, I think better than the Lamb & Rice.
Could you look into stocking it yourself? I know if you email Ceri at csj she will give you plenty of knowledgeable advice about what might be best for your needs.

Oh :-( the reason I wanted to change from the current food I am using is because a couple of my girls seem to have quite dry skin and coats are shedding a lot and quite dull. Perhaps the others you suggest Sunbeams might be better, thanks.

Roxylola I will drop Ceri an email then, thanks :-)
I should be on commission! My Roxy's coat is massively better just from changing from JWB to Champ, apparently the tripe one has a higher oil content and is supposed to be good for their coats. I bought my last bag from a local lady who breeds dogs and is listed as a stockist. She is not a feed merchant, seemed to know a bit about the product and so forth but if there is nobody local to you it is certainly worth looking into
Mine do have nice coats on the Lamb & Rice, but their poo isn't always that solid....the Salmon is more expensive, about £30 a bag, but that seems to be the perfect one for us!

Delivery on 2 bags is the same as for one, so it works out cheaper to buy 2 at a time. My daughter buys a pallet load at a time which makes it even cheaper.

my house dogs are on 'that'll do' with minced chicken and their condition is fab i find it one of the best of the whole range of csj, i have also used the super dooper with good results as well

My adults are on complete tripe csj and I can't fault it. Coats are lovely and poos are virtually always firm, a little crumbly when dry...or that could be after they've stolen some of the chickens pellets! (sorry if TMI!) My 5mth old is only performance puppy (CP27) and again, can't fault it. Complete tripe is £20 for £15kg and CP27 is £30 (iirc) for £15kg.
I am lucky however to have a very local stockist. P&P would fair bump the price up :-(

My cavs have been on csj lamb and rice which is wheat and gluten free for several years now and it suits them fine.
They have nice shiny coats, firm stools and bundles of energy.
It compares very well to jwb which is what I used to feed them but is about half the price and I always order 2 bags at a time as it cost the same for delivery as one bag
